Why am I here, you might ask? (I should be asking you the same thing...)

Speaking has always been a challenge for me. Frequently it takes time to process my thoughts, and in a given moment I may not be quick enough to match words to what I truly see, think, or feel. At times I have turned to writing, and this Blog is a demonstration of that.

I'm not exactly sure what this will be yet, all I can do to sell you on sticking around is tell you my Wife and my Mom say I'm a "real good writer" (of course they wouldn't fib about that, right?!? 😉). Thanks Mom!.

My hope is to create a little space where we can all spread a little love, truth, and wisdom together. It looks a little bare right now, but I'll be adding a bunch of things I've written in the past in coming weeks, so follow me below and stay tuned.

What is Memorial Day? What is it really about? For starters, Memorial Day originated in the years following the Civil War, and the Civil War was fought primarily over slavery, states' rights, and westward expansion.
